Non-invasive Body Contouring Device Overview

Electromagnetic and Radiofrequency technologies have transformed  body contouring by providing safe and non-invasive options to surgery. EMShape Neo® Plus Device Overview

The EMShape Neo® Plus system uses high intensity concentrated magnetic muscle training (HICMMT) energy plus radio frequency (RF) energy and is designed for operator independent, hands-free operation. It uses up to 4 handpieces at the same time.  The 4 handpieces are connected to the console via long cables. These handpieces deliver high intensity concentrated electromagnetic wave energy and radio frequency energy simultaneously to the treatment area, ensuring intense supra-maximal muscle contractions, as well as deep volumetric heating of the muscle and fat tissue, without harming the skin’s surface. The key parameters and settings of the device include  handpiece size, RF power, magnetic flux density, frequency of electromagnetic energy release, and skin, fat and muscle temperature.


Clinical Trial Overview  

A multi-center pilot clinical trial was conducted, enrolling 34 patients aged 18 to 65 with body mass indices (BMI) ranging from 19 to 36. Each patient underwent 4 treatments spaced 5-7 days apart, with evaluations performed 3 weeks after the final session. Measurements of the increase in muscle thickness and fat thickness reduction were taken.  Patient satisfaction was also assessed using the Global Aesthetic Improvement Scale (GAIS).

Results of Clinical Trial

The clinical trial yielded promising results, with significant increase in muscle and reduction in fat thickness observed among the subset of patients who underwent testing. The representative patients have noticeable improvements in body contouring achieved with EMShape Neo® Plus treatments. Average increase in muscle on the target areas was 28%.  Average decrease in fat on the targeted areas was 34%. Additionally, GAIS assessments revealed high levels of patient satisfaction, with 92% reporting mild to significant improvement.


Conclusion

In conclusion, the operator-independent, hands-free application of the EMShape Neo® Plus device demonstrates its efficacy in reducing fat, increasing muscle and improving body contouring. Patients experienced substantial fat thickness reduction and muscle thickness increase, with outcomes comparable to and slightly better than EMSculpt Neo treatments. Moreover, patient satisfaction rates were high, with the majority expressing willingness to recommend EMShape Neo® Plus to others.
